CooCE partners involved: UNIPD, BTS, ENP, ICL, Lemvig
As part of the final CooCE meeting, participants had the opportunity to visit the Gallmann biogas plant in Chioggia, Italy on the 25th of November 2024. This visit provided valuable insights into the integration of renewable energy production and CO₂ capture technologies, reinforcing the project’s focus on sustainable and circular approaches to resource management. The visit was enriched by the expertise of Bettina Müller from BTS Biogas, who shared her in-depth knowledge of biogas systems and their potential for CO₂ utilization. The Gallmann facility exemplifies innovative practices in renewable energy generation, showcasing how biogas plants can contribute to the decarbonization of energy systems. This excursion highlighted the practical applications of technologies discussed within the CooCE project, bridging the gap between research and real-world implementation.
