CooCE partners involved: DTU, ICL, UNIPD, ELGO, LEMVIG, BTS

ICL, UNIPD, ELGO, DTU and LBP delivered the 3rd CooCE online training workshop on October 18, 2024. The three CO2-capturing biotechnological platforms developed within CooCE were thoroughly reviewed during the first part of the workshop by representatives from UNIPD, ELGO and DTU. Their presentations addressed the challenges associated with the practical implementation of these technologies from multiple angles, including discussions on microbiological aspects, reactor configurations, and their main technical benefits and challenges associated. In the second part of the workshop, ICL introduced their integrated sustainability assessment to the audience together with an online training tool. This tool allowed the participants to explore the effect of key variables affecting the economic and environmental performance of CooCE technologies such as plant size, feedstock treatment capacity, etc. The workshop concluded with an open discussion between the participants and the panel. The workshop counted with the participation of 34 representatives from academia and industry from Denmark, UK, France, and Turkey, among others.
