University of Parana, Palatina, Brazil 22/02/2023. Visit to CVale in Parana; visit to  CiBiogas and Hydrogen plant at Itaipu, Foz de Iguaçu, Brazil.

Dr Rocio Diaz-Chavez was invited to visit the Federal University of Parana in Palatina. There, she gave a presentation on bioenergy and sustainability to CVale which is the largest agricultural cooperative in the region and exports to the EU poultry and other agricultural products.  At the University she gave a seminar to postgraduate students of the Energy Department on “Sustainability Assessment and Deployment of Bioeconomy”. After she visited along with Prof Eduardo Lucas Konrad several biogas plants in the region. The University also included a visit to the  Hydroelectric plant in Iguacu where there is a biogas plant and a hydrogen plant. The biogas plant is managed by CIBiogas. Here a presentation about the CooCE project was delivered by Dr Diaz-Chavez. The trip was by invitation and funded by the  Fundacao Araucaria in Brazil.
