Over the last decade or so, Carbon Capture Use and Storage (CCUS) has emerged as an important techno-economic pathway for reducing carbon emissions to help mitigate climate change that may also have an important role to play in expanding the circular bioeconomy. This paper draws on empirical data to examine the understandings and perspectives of different interest groups of a proposed CCUS concept that entails capturing carbon for transforming into bioproducts, based on the CooCE project.
