Dr Yara Evans and Dr Ioannis Zacharapoulos attended the ACT and CETP TRI3 CCUS Knowledge Sharing Conference hosted by ACT at the Research Council of Norway, Oslo on 11 and 12th September 2024. The conference aimed at sharing knowledge and building networks of interest on CCUS technologies and projects to help expand the CCUS research and innovation communities for the large-scale deployment of CCUS. Dr Evans and Dr Zacharopoulos both took turns to introduce the CooCE project and present the key results from the different Work Packages, highlighting the achievements regarding the upgrading of biomethane, the production of biosuccinic acid and PHAs/PHBs bioplastics. After the presentation, they answered questions from members of the audience about the prospects for industrial-scale deployment of CooCE, noting that the Integrated Sustainability Assessment, which was being undertaken, will be concluded in December, to reveal the most sustainable pathways for value chain development. Dr Evans and Dr Ioannis also presented a poster at two separate sessions that summarises the key results obtained from CooCE up until early September, answering questions from interested conference attendants.
